Default ATI to re-brand Radeon 3x00 to 4x00

Due to a delay of RV710 and RV730 mainstream chips, ATI is going to simply rename its existing Radeon HD 3000 series to match the OEM requests.

There will be a new bios coming shortly that will allow OEMs to re-brand Radeon 3450, 3650 and even 3850 to Radeon 4xx0 series. We still don’t know the final brands of these “new” cards but we know that this will happen.

Traditionally such products end up with lower designations and Radeon 4250 was the only real name that we heard. We can assume that Radeon 4450 will be the real RV710 and the one with the smaller number will be the rebranded one.
