ATI Radeon 9700 All-In-Wonder Review
 

With the introduction of next-generation products from both ATI and NVIDIA in the market place there has been a gradual drop in prices of hardware from the previous generation.

Both the 6800 series from NVIDIA and the X800 series from ATI command premium prices and require patience on the part of the consumer to acquire due to continuing shortages. In the meantime many of the older graphics processors can be bought for under $200. This means great savings for anyone wishing to put together a decent gaming system on a budget without sacrificing too much performance.

With this in mind, today I will be taking a look at the relative performance of the original R300 core in various recent games to give the prospective consumer an idea of what to expect if they purchase this product.

I will be concentrating primarily a core of demanding games complemented by a few popular titles. While the video card has excellent multi-media capabilities this review will mainly cover game-play and capabilities while running the test suite
