WE ALREADY wrote about the Open GL hack available for ATI cards here, and Hexus already tested the hack itself, but now the hack crept into ATI's 4.10a beta driver. This driver will improve Open GL scores significantly and will let you run even faster in those games.
With Quake 3 and Serious Sam 2, where both support Open GL, this API is kind of becoming important again and this speed-up will definitely do you good. It will work in all X1000 generation Radeon cards but, to put it simply, it will affect all who just bought Radeon X1800XL card in the store and possibly even the ones who have a supposed-to-be-available Radeon X1300 card.

You can download this driver here and we would like to know what happens to the scores of the older cards, probably nothing but it's always worth of trying.

The driver will also fix some bugs related to Serious Sam 2 and Quake 4.
