ATI Catalyst 7.7 drivers released
 

ATI has added 12x and 24x AA for the Radeon HD 2900 XT and the Radeon HD 2600 cards. Apparently the new AA modes should bring enhanced AA quality to the new cards. AMD has also improved the performance in certain Far Cry maps for the Radeon HD 2x00 series. There's of course also a whole range of bug fixes and again, most of them apply to Vista.

excuse me but... 24x AA ? As if 4xAA is doable with ATI's mid-low end range? Even the HD 2900 XT doesn't run too smooth in latest games WITHOUT AA!

What a waste of resources, they better fix the performance instead of adding modes noone uses.

Probably is meant for those Crossfire users... ;)
