| ATI Avivo Video Converter Does Not Support Stream NVIDIA has turned extensive resources on CUDA structure, which makes people aware of the powerful parallel computing ability on non-graphics computing. Now, the GPU parallel computing ability has been used on scientific computing, video editing, graphics processing and even physics acceleration. AMD, a full competitor with NVIDIA, also has its own non-graphics computing technology, Stream. Both CUDA and Stream can accelerate operations with parallel computing resources, so there’s no essential difference between them. GeForce and Radeon graphics cards both possess a mass of computing units that we name as stream processors. http://en.expreview.com/2009/01/15/r...u-not-gpu.html
