Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 65nm core overclocking

Using some quick stock heatsink air cooling we got the chip to just over 3GHz, or about 100MHz less than we got the X2 3600+. Considering what the 65nm chips are clocking to this is pretty expected. Clearly you would want to pick up a 3600+ if possible, but at this point they are hard to come by, and the 4000+ 65nm is the next best to it.
