ASUS releases GeForce GTX950-2G

ASUS has released a new graphics card which does not need a power connector socket.

Dubbed the ASUS GeForce GTX950-2G graphics card it features a cut down GM206 GPU, and runs under the 75W limit of power available via the PCI-Express slot. This is good news if you are lacking a 6-pin connector. Normally you would expect it not to be so hot, but HEXUS says that it boasts better than reference clocks with both OC and gaming modes.

This might be the more more efficient version of the GeForce GTX 950 design which Nvidia has been rumoured to be working on and ASUS is first to get it out of the door.

The specs include: Bus Standard: PCI Express 3.0, GDDR5 2GB, GPU Boost Clock, 1228MHz, GPU Base Clock, 1051MHz, 768 CUDA core, 6610 MHz memory clock, Max Resolution: 4096x2160, HDMI 2 output, HDCP support,

It is a 2-slot graphics card design. Amazon has it at $169.99.
