Asus makes its P55 ROG motherboards official
 

Tier One manufacturer Asus is also rolling out its own P55 line-up and it includes two ROG (Republic of Gamers) boards, the full ATX Maximus III Formula and micro ATX Maximus III Gene. Detailed below, the two motherboards support Intel's new LGA 1156 processors, have four DDR3-2133 memory slots, a new overclocking interface named ROG Connect, the MemPerfect technology and GameFirst, a feature which manages the flow of internet traffic according to users' needs.

Both P55 boards also include Gigabit Ethernet, multiple SATA ports, and have support for SLI and CrossFireX - via three PCIe x16 slots on the Formula and through two PCIe slots on the Gene model.
