ASUS has made the ENGTX460 TOP 1GB a solid video card. It has a respectable factory frequency boost. The triple 8mm heat-pipes kept the video card cool at factory frequencies and along with Voltage Tweak let us get every MHz we could out of our GPU when we overclocked it. The only downside is that it cost about $25 more than a reference GeForce GTX 460 1GB after MiR which is not a big premium for great cooling. However if you are looking for a non-reference GTX 460 1GB, or if you want a good platform to overclock on, the ASUS ENGTX460 TOP 1GB which can currently be had for $244.99 is a solid choice.

The ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP 1GB is not for everyone though, but if you want an overclocking friendly 460 1GB, it should be on your short list. With all the benefits taken into consideration, VoltageTweak, custom cooling, nice out-of-box frequencies, the potential for manual performance gains, and all of this at a sub-$250 price, we feel this video card deservers an award. It is great to see companies bringing some truly "custom" video cards and features back into the market place. We hope to see more!
