Asus ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP Graphics Card Review
 

The ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP has showed the same performance as any other GeForce GTX 460 1GB with comparable frequencies such as the earlier reviewed Gainward GeForce GTX 460 GS GLH and Palit GeForce GTX 460 Sonic Platinum which come pre-overclocked from GPU frequencies of 675/1350 MHz to 800/1600 MHz. The ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP is pre-overclocked somewhat less, to 775/1550 MHz, which doesn't make much difference. As a result, it is competitive to the Radeon HD 5850 and, occasionally, to the Radeon HD 5870. Another problem for AMD is that Nvidia's new GeForce driver version 260 improves the performance of the GeForce GTX 460 quite substantially.

The ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP is equipped with an advanced cooling system which uses the direct-touch technology. It has a reinforced power system and good overclockability. It is not as quiet as the models from Gainward and Palit we reviewed earlier and is also larger, but the difference in noise is small while its high overclockability makes the ASUS preferable for overclockers. We can also recommend it to any other gamer who wants a high-quality and fast version of GeForce GTX 460 1GB. Just make sure beforehand that the ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP is going to fit into your system case.
