Default ASUS Announces Scalable Server Solutions with Dual-Core Processing Technology

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), a leading provider of server and networking solutions, today introduced the P5MT serverboard series, which incorporated the latest Intel E7230 chipset and supports DDR 2 533/667 ECC un-buffered memory and the powerful Intel dual-core processor. The P5MT series includes three serverboards: P5MT-M, P5MT / SCSI and P5MT. Image as below

High-Performance Serverboard

The P5MT serverboard series supports the advanced Intel Pentium D dual-core processor with 1066MHz FSB (front side bus) to provide immediate CPU performance scale up. Combined with EM64T (Extended Memory 64 Technology) and 64-bit operating system (OS) support, the serverboards deliver enhanced computing capability and memory performance (8GB memory). In addition, the P5MT series enables implementation of unbuffered ECC DDR II 533 and 677, providing a minimum of 25% performance gain compared with DDRII 400.

Superior Expandability

Designed for small-to-medium-size businesses, the P5MT series offer superb expandability for corporate growth. The serverboards adopted a wide array of the latest input/output technology including PCI Express, PCI-X and PCI to ensure easy upgrade for future needs.

Asus also includes a LSI MegaRAID to provide additional SATA RAID 0,1 and 10 with complete driver support for Windows, RedHat and SuSE Linux (RAID 5 for Windows only) operating systems.

Storage Reliability

Reliability and data protection are the main concerns for information management engineers when building server systems. The P5MT series incorporated SCSI RAID on Windows and Redhat and SuSE Linux for complete driver support with additional OS/data integrity protection. PCI-X- ZCR (zero channel RAID) card provides cost-effective hardware RAID 5,10 and 50 upgrade. ASUS also includes a LSI MegaRAID to provide additional SATA RAID 0,1 and 10 with complete driver support for Windows, RedHat and SuSE Linux (RAID 5 for Windows only) operating systems.

Professional Server Management

ASWM (ASUS System Web-based Management), an exclusive feature on ASUS server solutions, enables system monitoring and management (CPU, memory, hard drive, fan, OS, FRU, LAN card etc.) from a remote location over the Internet. The user-friendly interface utilizes actual photos of server components, allowing users to easily identify and select which parts of the system they would like to check on. When a system malfunctions, MIS engineers have to first understand the server they are dealing with, open up the server and determine whether the problem is at hardware or software levels. ASWM eliminated all the hassle mentioned. With a few clicks on the mouse, status of the system is presented in seconds, even from a remote location.
