Default Assange plans to sue Aussie PM for defamation

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is under investigation about two women who claim they were sexually assaulted by him, is dragging another one into court claiming that she defamed him.

While Assange feels it is too dangerous for him to face criminal charges in court, it appears that he thinks it is perfectly safe for him to sue Prime Minister Julia Gillard for defamation.

He told Reuters that he has hired lawyers in Sydney and they are investigating the different ways in which he can sue Gillard for something she said in 2010.

Gillard condemned WikiLeaks's publication of classified information as "grossly irresponsible" and "illegal".

Assange said that the Australian Federal Police cleared the organisation of breaking any law and claims that her comments led to credit card companies barring customers from donating to WikiLeaks.

When "Mastercard justified why it blocked Australian Mastercard holder sfrom donating to WikiLeaks, used that statement by Julia Gillard this year as justification," he said.

Assange seems annoyed that the Australian government has not given him any help since he was jailed in 2010. The WikiLeaks founder says his situation is interfering "severely" with his family life.

He said his family have had to change their name, their location, and go into hiding. He said he can't visit his family, he can't do things that are important to many people. He can't see the skyline and he can't visit his homeland.
