Archos Details 1.6GHz Dual-Core Tablet We just had a look at the FroYo-touting Archos 101 tablet but the company is not resting on its laurels and plans on bringing out a new Android tablet with some serious specs this June. The Gen 9 Honeycomb tablet from Archos will boast an ARM A9 dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1.6GHz. This is quite significantly faster than the competition with the iPad2 and Motorola Xoom both clocking in at 1GHz. It will also come with a 250GB HDD which Archos claim to be alone in bringing to the tablet sector. However, for those wanting to stay with the speedier option, there will also be a version available with a 32GB SSD for the same price. The final one of the “key differentiators” which Archos believes will set them apart in 2011 is something called a “disruptive 3G modem” which is patent pending at the moment. Aesthetically speaking the new tablet will be “thinner, lighter and stronger” while retaining the plastic-overmoulded look we saw in the Archos 101. http://www.trustedreviews.com/laptop...Core-Tablet/p1 |
