Default Apple Announces New Generation MacBook Pro 13-inch

Apple announced its newest generation (late-2013) variant of MacBook Pro 13-inch, which is lighter and thinner than its predecessor. It features a 4th generation Intel Core i5 "Haswell" dual-core processor featuring Iris Pro 5200 graphics (90 percent faster than the previous generation), although NVIDIA GeForce GT 700 series options are very much still available. It features 4 GB of the fastest compatible DDR3 memory, PCIe based SSDs, Thunderbolt 2 (20 Gb/s) connectivity, 802.11 ac (1.3 Gb/s) WiFi, and 8 hours of battery life on a full charge. It comes with OS X Mavericks pre-installed. It starts at US $1,299. Its 15-inch sibling, which also ships today, starts at $1,999.
