AOC unveils affordable 31.5-inch 1440p display

AOC has unveiled what could easily be the cheapest large display with 1440p resolution and AMD FreeSync support, the Q3279VWF.

Featuring a 31.5-inch MVA-panel with 2560x1440 resolution, the AOC Q3279VWF has a maximum brightness of 250cd/m2, contrast ratio of 3000:1, response time of 5ms and 176/176 degree viewing angles. It comes with D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and supports AMD FreeSync.

Unfortunately, European specification page states that it peaks at 60Hz, while the other specification page says it runs between 48 and 75Hz on DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, so this is a mystery.

AOC had to makes some cutbacks in order to make it affordable so the stand only supports tilt adjustments.

According to AOC, the new Q3279VWF should be available in November with an MSRP of £249.
