| Android 6.0 now on 1.2 percent of Android gear Google has released its official February platform distribution numbers and the Marshmallow Android 6.0 is now available on 1.2 percent of all google devices. Despite the fact that Google started rolling Android 6.0 in November, it has taken three months to reach such a tiny percentage of its customers. It is a lot of work and engineering hours for the mobile phone manufacturers to do the update. Only a selected few flagship devices receive them. Lollipop Android 5.0 is now at a healthy 17 percent while the bit more secure Android 5.1 is on 17.1 percent. Combined they reach 34.1 percent of customers and this is quite a big number. Things are moving in the right direction as year ago Android 5.0 was only on 1.6 percent. You can thank an increase in new phone sales. We expect to see Android 6.0 reaching double digits before the end of the year too. http://fudzilla.com/news/mobile/3985...percent-of-all |
