At the right quality and price

There is no doubt that AMD GPU profits are coming from bitcoin miners and AMD is taking an advantage of this sudden interest.

AMD competes on a price performance ratio rather well against Nvidia, but Nvidia takes the performance lead especially in the high end. But this is less important for the miners of Bitcoin / Litecoin / Ethereum as all they care is the hash rate at the right power level.

Electricity (power) costs money so the secret sauce is to get the best performance with least possible energy. Radeon RX 480, 470, 580 and 570 are currently the best for mining, closely followed by Nvidia’s Geforce 1060 3GB.
