While motherboard chipsets with integrated graphics cores don't usually create much of a buzz, the RS690 chipset proved to be an exception to this rule, with many people hanging on every scrap of information to slip out about this part prior to its eventual launch. Perhaps it was the promise of faster integrated graphics, or maybe it was the intrigue of this first real collaboration since AMD acquired ATI - Either way, the 690 chipset is now upon us, and today we take a look at this architecture and AMD's hopes for it, by way of examining ASUS' M2A-VM motherboard based around it.
