 |  AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPUs woo reviewers Review roundup: Brings some competition to the HEDT game AMD has lifted the review NDA veil from its first Ryzen Threadripper CPUs, the Threadripper 1950X and the Threadripper 1920X, which offer impressive multi-threaded performance and finally bringing some competition to this part of the market. According to plenty of reviews from the usual suspects that were treated to special Threadripper samples, the cherry-picked Ryzen CPU dies, multi-die solution, a high number of cores with Simultaneous MultiThreading (SMT) and plenty of PCIe lanes to go around, AMD has finally managed to put the ball in Intel’s court.
