| AMD Ruby 4 (R600) demo is impressive We have seen the demo running couple of times and this poor hack has to say that it looks quite impressive, especially when it comes to snow itself or fur on Ruby's winter outfit. There is also a matter of realistic blend of textures on her face and skeleton animation. You could easily imagine that Ruby is a real person, judging by insane amount of detail that went into a creation of this demo. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=38262

| That comes from a different department; our marketing dept insists that the software guys must come up with something before launch to showcase the new product. Besides, they have several developers not doing much so we put them in this project.

| let's rephrase my sentence anyway, it was the short version on show at Cebit, the R600 demo looks good, but I did notice a few slowdowns during the demo, it was impressive, but not really as life like as one would expect. They were running on Vista DX10 if the partner can be believed. Overall I would much rather see a game benchmark/demo than a separate tech demo which doesn't really give you feedback on the card's capabilities.
