| AMD Radeon HD 5870/5850 power consumption summary According to official information,Radeon HD 5870 with 1GB GDDR5 will consume 27W in idle state.While it will need 188W in full load state.Coming in 1GB/2GB GDDR5 two flavors,the latter will has slightly higher power consumption than former. However,it is reported that low-end Radeon HD 5850 has 27W power consumption in idle state,170W in full load state from other sources. Radeon HD 5870/5850 are based on Cypress/RV870 core. The former has 1600 stream processors、80 texture unit.While the latter has 1440 SP and 72 texture unit.Both of them has a maximum 110W of core power consumption. http://en.inpai.com.cn/doc/enshowcont.asp?id=7001
