 | AMD Puts Arms Around ATI: Questions Answered Advanced Micro Devices confirmed acquisition of ATI Technologies, the world’s major producer of graphics processing units. The merge of the companies means quite a lot not only for them, but for the whole computer industry, as the two will be able to supply a range of chip solutions for personal computers, consumer electronics and even aerospace industry. X-bit labs sat down with executives at ATI and AMD to discuss the outcome of the acquisition.
