Default AMD one-ups Intel on server front

By concentrating its energy on CPUs for the server, for the desktop and for the notebook, AMD has turned into a very different company from what it used to be when Jerry Sanders III founded it, courtesy of co-Intel founder Robert Noyce. Sanders always saw AMD competing against Intel on a number of different fronts. Ruiz’s direction may be the right one, but it turns AMD into a one-trick firm. And that’s something Intel is determined never to be.
