SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) - Advanced Micro Devices and IBM have extended a chip-manufacturing technology agreement for an additional three years, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The contract, had been due to expire next year, will see AMD (AMD) pay IBM (IBM) fees from $250 million to $280 million from September 2004 through December 2008, while AMD gets access to chip technologies developed by IBM.
