Default AMD has called off its price war with Intel

AMD has called off its price war with Intel saying that it has no more plans to reduce prices. According to CRN, Gary Bixler, AMD's director of marketing for NorthAmerica said that AMD has no plans to further cut CPU prices. Intel is still cutting prices on its three desktop quad-core processors and quad-core server SKUs later this month.Bixler, whose company cut prices to its range of dual-core Athlon 64 X2 and FX processors by as much as 33 percent last week said a price war is notgoing to happen. This is possibly because AMD has discovered it cannot afford it any longer.
