| AMD; Down On It's Luck Again with Apple Those of us aware of AMD’s tremendous potential as a chipmaker have to be disappointed by Apple’s recent news that it has chosen Intel as the sole chip provider for its Macintosh computers. In addition to the Apple news, AMD continues to strike out many of the world’s largest PC OEMs, such as Dell. If the Apple news is true, this would come as a yet another financial hit to AMD and its strategies. Unfortunately for AMD, it is trapped in a vicious circle of supply and demand. | Assuming AMD management has done its best; and assuming they are not stupid .... trust me just because they make over $250,000 a year in salary don't make them smart .... lucky may be. It is, therefore, the consumers have not made a loud enough noise in demanding the choice options in buying OEM PCs. Why can't a consumer choose AMD or Intel when they buy Dell? In this case, it is Apple. Well, perhaps most PC buyers are not so smart after all. Most PC enthusiasts only communicate (nicely put) with yet another so called "PC Guru" and often ignore the regular Joe.

| This is bad news for AMD, yet again, the litlle chipmaker got put aside because it can deliver the needed goods. I think it's getting time that the new factory is built and operational. Maybe then Dell would be interested in AMD's (on a larger scale), maybe then Apple would think again on using AMD (but only if,after finishing that fab, AMD's are still lots better than Intels). |

| Apple Goes with Intel: Anticipating the Other Shoe and Looking Ahead http://news.designtechnica.com/talkback57.html It still did not make all the sense after reading this, Intel could not see the move that Apple is making and taking a chance to piss off Microsoft in 2007?
