AMD considers using Clearspeed co-processor

ELECTRONICS WEEKLY said that UK based parallel chip firm Clearspeed is chatting to AMD about producing a co-processor.

According to the report, the Clearspeed co-processor will help speed AMD multicores on their way amidst concerns that the forthcoming Cell chip will fly along like the proverbial off a hot shovel.
