Default All in One sales slip

All in one PCs are generally suffering the same fate as their clunkier cousins.

Digitimes Research has added up the numbers and divided by its shoe size and worked out that there were 13.307 million AIO (all-in-one) PCs shipped globally in 2015. While this sounds rather a lot the numbers are a five percent fall on the previous year. It has been predicted that shipments in 2016 will reach 12.892 million units.

Lenovo was the King of the All in Ones and accounted for 28.8 per cent of shipments. Next was Apple with 27.8 per cent, HP with 18.5 per cent, Dell 11.3 per cent, Acer three percent, and Asustek and Micro-Star International with 2.3 per cent each.

Generally it is looking like the days of the all in one are slowly drawing to a close, although it is hard to tell if the fall is part of the general slump in the PC market or a lack of interest in that particular form factor. This is odd as they should have made a slight comeback with the advent of touch screens and Windows 10.
