Default Alienware installs Blu-ray Burner for only $600

Alienware will install *4X Blu-ray read/write drives to its lineup of desktop and laptops. According to a company press release the drives can be ordered asupgrades to the default DVD/CD-ROM burners. They will be available for the Area-51 7500, Aurora 7500, Area-51 ALXand Aurora ALX computers. The drives, which are burners will cost $600 extra. (NC)

I'm pretty sure a 4X Blu Ray burner can be had for less than that.

Lite-On has a 2x Blu-ray burner for $460, but that was a good bit lower than I'd last seen them going for.

This one would be useful if it was cheaper... burns everything including BD at 4x, and reads HD-DVD.
