overclocked? How far did you get the FSB in 1:1 mode?

I didn't, I even haven't got the chance to do anything whatsoever with the board. It isn't used at all.
But a friend of mine, who heard it of a guy he knew who told about someone who had the board (.......?) and who was very content with it's overclocking functions. But what i read on Asus' site sounded very promising.
I can't say much else, I'm but an amateur, not a professional.

NOTE: To prevent any misunderstanding : this board HAS NOT BEEN OVERCLOCKED, OR EVEN TURNED ON !!! EVER !!!
Ok, bye.

thanks for the info, I'm looking for a good OC mobo that's why I asked ;)

Theandaid 18th June 2004 17:24

Yeah, you're welcome.
I quote from ASUS' site :

-- Flexible CPU Core Voltage Adjustments in 0.025V increments
over defaults
-- SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) up to 400MHz at 1MHz
increments
-- Adjustable FSB/DDR ratio. Fixed AGP/PCI frequencies
-- ASUS C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall)

From what I have read in all kinds of overclocking tutorials, 0.025 Volt increments are very small, as are 1 MHz increments.

(still) interested ?
Let me know if you are !

at €130 the price is quite steep for me, but don't expect an offer from me unless I know for certain this board can do 300 FSB in 1:1 :)

I know its capabilities and features, but for the more extreme overclocks it's a hit and miss :)

300 is quite extreme btw ;)

Theandaid 21st June 2004 11:04

OK, tell me how to check out whether it can reach 300 in 1:1 (what does this mean anyway ?) and I will test it's capacity:klap: .

PS please excuse me for not replying the day afterwards or some, I simply don't have the time to do this every day :ww: .

Thank you for your trouble, you'll need a highly overclockable P4 2.4 "C" and some good memory and cooling to test this :)

but I bought an Abit AI7 at a very interesting price recently (€160 for cpu+mobo), so if you have other buyers, please don't wait for me

sigh...

jmke 21st June 2004 12:23

how high was the chance you would test the board up to 300Mhz FSB in 1:1 syncro mode? ;)
