You don't have to have a lot of money to have fun.

The cheap yet performs rig for under $360 (US). You don't have to have a lot of money to have fun.

I was looking around and found my low cost budget rig.

X-Dreamer case $35
XP1700+ $52
NF7 V1 $45
Apacer PC2700 512 $64
DVD 16X Lite-on $23
80 GB WD $64
R9000 64MB Non-pro $40
ALX800 $15
4 x 80mm fans $16

Total $354

Refurbished items from Newegg
All freight included

- Case came with 350Watts PSU
- NF-7 refurbished yet came with everything
- Apacer memory at eBay
- Lite-On refurbished
- WD drive refurbished with one year warranty

The most I paid for freight came from the damn 80mm fans with LED.

CPU could hit 2.2GHz at the expense of more costly memory - been running 10.5x200 with PC2700

There is no such thing as refurbished CPU, Case, Motherboard etc; they are returns from "wrong" purchases.

Have fun putting your budget rig together.:o

my system is the best for gaming :p

Hey, if we list ways to build a budget semi-gaming rig, we could attract more people in "computing".

Reason I started the thread was when I found out PolarFLO offers buy back/trade ins. The water blocks they get from trade ins turn on at eBay. However, the kick is this; that many large resellers would have returns no matter how well they run the business - it would be like the "outlet stores" selling returns at 50% off of retail price on current products.

One email to their customer service department requesting inventory update of return goods may do you some good in hunting for bargain parts to build your new rig.;)
