Dude, where'd you find that chip you fried? Sadly, I also killed my heavily modded 8RDA+ by trying the 5v mod by hand-contacting a 5v line to the mosfet which killed a mosfet crippling my mobo. It still ran at stock vcore, but no higher. Thinking it couldve been the PSU, I tried another cheap 250w PSU and it fried my mobo. The little chip above the vdd controller chip fried. I thought I could do what you did - replace the chip but I had no clue where I would find it. Anyway, are you sure you killed your vidcard by frying the mobo?? What'd you do to fry your mobo? I had a GF4 4600 and 2x Mushkin pc3500 RAM in my mobo I hope to god I didnt damage them! :( The only noticable damage I could find is that little chip.
I killed the AGP port only partly: 4x AGP (1.5v?) doesn't work anymore, but 8x AGP (0.8v?) still does. :)

I searched for the chip i've fried for a long time in electronic shops, untill i encountered someone who had a non RMA-able dead 8rda+ too. I bought his for a few euro's, and desoldered his working chip. I suggest you do the same, sadly, there are a lot dead 8rda+ boards around.

Phew, after hearing you killed your 4200 - I tested my 4600 right away in my 2ndary PC. It works. Whatta relief :super: However, I still have to worry about my cpu and RAM till I get my new mobo (abit NF7-S 2.0) As for my attempt to repair my dead 8RDA+, heh..... No chance in hell. Me being mobo-less, I got bored and curious and began grinding away on my mobo like a twisted psycho. I took pics of what I did, maybe I should'nt have... For I may be charged with the murder and mutilation of an Epox 8RDA+!
