xtreme solder job! I found the chip that i fried on my dead 8rda+. I dunno how i did it, but i succesfully replaced the broken one! 8 tiny little legs and they all seem to work. Hooray for madness! :super: I think i broke the AGP port by frying the little bastard (killed my ti4200), but the PCI ports work fine. I did a quick Vdd mod (you'd think I'd learn out of my mistakes, no?) while my soldering iron was hot: 1.8vdd, should be gould enough for ~215mhz stable. The bios had gone bad too, but i managed to flash it in my new 8rda+. Currently stressing the board at 11*200. Joy! Joy! :feesten: Together with a loud aircooler & my second XP1800+ JIUHB i have an excellent backup rig. A shame the AGP port may be dead... I've got a Matrox Millenium PCI card, but it doesn't support 1280*1024 @32bit (only 8bit)... what's the best PCI card one can get nowadays? GF4 MX440? |
wow! na thats  |
go any more pics? those are compeletly  skillz |
skillz? Might just be luck in my case. :D nice & messy setup (Q tec sil680 controller roxors!): |
soldered chip (left) and voltmodded vdd controller (right): |
Does anyone know whether the Sapphire ATI 7000 32mb DDR PCI is a decent (pci) videocard? TV-out is important, and ATI has a good rep... It's 'only' 60 eur @forcom. |
change sig Richy... amazing job you did there |
wow. great job dewd. Too bad the AGP port is broken. |
KS1@xtreme suggested to try an 8x AGP card, because it uses a different voltage than the 4x (r8500) i tried. Guess what, it works. I'm one happy camper. :D |
