what vidcard

vidcard = dead so I'm looking for a new card. my GF2pro was getting outdated anyway, and I even couldn't run RTCW:ET at 1024*768 and medium detail.

it has to overclock well and be powerful enough for most games.
2 options:
* buy a cheap card now (75€) and save money for a better card
* get a good card right now

my future setup will be a a7n8x deluxe (already bouht) and 256MB XMS3500 CL2 or 512MB noname PC4000

I've got about 150€ for a videocard, and REALLY don't know what to choose anymore... all those different models of cards :(

* I'd like to order at http://www.funcomputer.de/default.php?page=shop&kat1=6 because they've got a lot of cards, shipping is cheap and their service is great . scroll around, and tell me what's best for it's money.

* the belgian pricewatch: http://www.prijswatch.be/cat.php?pg=...rt=prijs&cid=7

* I also might get an MSI ti 4400 vivo for 140€

I don't know what to choose anymore

in your pricerange i would buy a 9600(Pro)/FX5600(Ultra) but that TI4400 is also a good card.

i'm very satisfied with my ti4400
it runs ut2k3 and RTCW and all other games at a very decent detail level + FPS

herc 9500Pro now available, LIMITED QUANTITIES (3 left, were 7 BO)
chez comtech off ceurs
Price is €245,35
So probably a bit over yer budget.

9800Pro still THE kickass card.

9800Pro still THE kickass card.

price seems a little high, both mine a few months ago for 220, but it was a connect3D and it was in germany

but still I think the 9500pro is the best card to go, for the moment

where to get those bulk cards?
funcomp doesn't sell them

I thougt getting an albatron fx5600, but they're out of stock I'm afraid :(

RichBa5tard 23rd August 2003 12:52

FX5600 is really, really bad.

Funcomp sold ti4200\'s at 85 euro a while ago... beats the hell out of a FX5600 non ultra.
