I am thinking there is a reason they show it mounted to a motherboard that is laying flat...

to be released early March, maybe, no details on what cases it will in, larger ATX cases "should" be possible

SP-94 couldn't handle 174W TEC, neither could the 500W PSU, don't have the TEC anymore though

Sounds like your 500W PSU is not worth its label

PSU from the time when AMD Thunderbird (not XP) ruled the roost;
so 12v was not used for CPU, but 5v was, so 5V was loaded, 12V was lightweigh
