Do you have your monitordrivers installed?

There are no problems with the latest drivers, when Win Xp appeared there was a problem for nvidia and ATI.

Not with most open gl games which I play (SOF2, RTCW). If there is a problem with other open gl games you can solve it by adding:
+set r_displayrefresh "85" in the shortcut on your desktop.

Where 85 is the value for your refreshrate.

Some of my games are not really compatible with Win XP anyway, when trying to play games like Alice and Undying I get cdrom errors.
