(Passive) Northbridge cooling ?

I plan on removing the northbridge fan on my MSI K8N SLI Platinum, and putting on a Zalman ZM-NB47J heatsink instead. Does anyone have experience with it ? Any good ?

Other suggestions are welcome. Descom doesn't have anything else, but a shop in Gent or Leuven is also good. Not too expensive please.

Edit: maybe not such a good idea. I won't be able to put in a second graphics card anymore. That sucks.

as long as your CPU cooling moves enough air towards the this NB there will be no problem; do keep an eye on the northbridge temperature the first few days

If your mobo has the same lay out as the MSI K8N Diamond then you will have to remove the fan of the chipsetcooler, otherwise it is impossible to install a second graph. card.
This was mentioned in a review of dual core mobo's in PCM nr 10: oct 2005, in dutch: "Wilt u gebruik maken van een tweede grafische kaart, dan zult u bij de MSI K8N Diamond eerst de chipsetkoeler moeten losschroeven."

In the review it is mentioned that the mobo runs stable without the cooler.

There are several active heatsinks out there that use better fans. Another option is to replace the fan with a Papst one.
