| speak english, thank you. a p4 @2.32 does NOT exist, you probably mean the 2.26. it's fast and sturdy the pal and delta is loud, but good cooling, so that's okay the asus is a very good mobo but you need pc4200 rimms to make it work like it should, and those are not really available in Belgium...and the ones that are avilable are inferior quality... what clockspeeds you could reach? can't tell, that depends on your luck, as well with the cpu, the processor as the ram. normally I'd expect you to be able to get to 165fsbx4 (670mhzx2 of rimmpower!!) on the ram and 2.8-2.9 on the cpu. If you're lucky, it'll give 3.0, you never know...that'll be a very fast machine. 4-5% faster than a default 2.8 cuz' your fsb give you very high ram bandwith if you want to go higher, you need water/phasechangecooling

| I'm also planning to buy the same system, but a few days ago I read about the new DDR that is coming for PIV. They say you can get a lot higher with that, and it's as fast as the RIMMS. Does anybody know more about this? |

| "Of course for the extreme performance person (such as yours truly) where speed is number 1, RDRAM is the only way to go. It has the little extra "umph" and it's good for peace of mind!" pc1066 is faster than any available ram at the moment... ddr400 can not keep up. all the ddr400 that we see now is slowly timed...once we'll see ddr that can do 400 at cas 2 (those exist) + 2-5-2 and 1T... then pc1066 will be in for a challenge... however, do not forget that you won't be overclocking ddr400 a lot, since it's allready at 200 fsb, with max timings you won't go very high above 200...pc1066 is just at 133x4... i've seen samples go to 175*4... that'll crush ddr500 at max timings ddr-II however will be able to heavily come down on pc1066... but that's comparing a geforce 2GTS to a radeon 9700... they're not in the same era... maybe we'll be @ pc1330 or pc1600 on the rimms by then....since ddr-II is for 2nd or 3rd quarter next year... currently...pc1066 owns everything at 133 mhz... when overclocked it soars even higher above the competition...
