| Hi, I was looking at some rigs online and I noticed that OverdrivePcs use the Opteron instead of the Athlon… What would be the advantages to this? They still use the FX for their top of the line comp... Are there any really good comparisons between the Opteron and Athlon? ![]() |

| Sorry I mean between the Opteron and the Athlon 64, not the FX.... I would be interested to see how the Opteron compares with the FX too... I am just wondering how the Opteron performs in a gaming rig... the way Overdrive Pc is using it |

![]() | Opteron can be used in a dual cpu setup, needs registered memory and uses dual channel memory.
