The PSU might not be the best for the money and Antec hasn't getting the best reputation lately. I would rather go with a Seasonic S12 500W or a Tagan 480 U15, depending wheter you want a modular one or not (I love my modular U15, makes the inside look cleaner). The case is ugly, premade windows are seriously uncool and doors are not practical at all. Lian Li PC7 with 2 120mm fans (some PC7 do not have those) is the best budget choice as looks and quality are right (going from a Coolermaster Centurion to a PC7 was like going from a Lada to a Volkswagen for me). cutting costs with a 6400 Core 2 and a Gigabyte DS3 with value DDR2667 or 800 and overclock the CPU (it is way too easy with core 2 to not do it and getting 50% more for the money doesn't hurt either). then put the savings towards a x1900XT or 7950 Samsung has a SATA DVD-RW DL, that will make the inside of the case a lot cleaner for the same cost of the PATA version. The best harddisk is one from WD, look up the SPCR news post about it. Otherwise the Samsung P120 250GB SATA 3GBs is very good value as well.

I have idd some doubts about the PSU. I could get for a 20 Euro's more a Targan 480 W U 22. I rather would keep the case, cause I do like it. Further with the HD, changes can be made, but I wouldn't wonna go higher on the prices. For the GFX, the reviews I've read, the 7900 GT looks one of the best buys I can get. CPU, 6600 it is. I do not intend to overclock. Thx for the advice, gonne check some more stuff around. btw: all is bought at tones.be I've checked out the alternate shops, it is cheaper on most parts, but I'm afraid with the extra taxes and costs to get it in the country the difference would not matter.

For running stock, check out the cheap Asrock Core 2 motherboards (Asus Subbrand) . That easily saves 100 € the U22 is fine, only difference is it is not modular meaning you can't remove unused cables the HD should cost about the same, the Samsung is about the cheapest HD usually the 7900GT is not always the best buy, it really depends what the other cards are going

| do you really need a €130 case? DDR2 667 memory: avoid DDR2 533 : good DDR2 800 : too expensive, little to no performance difference and welcome to the forums, didn't recognise the nickname immediately, we have a policeman amongst us now I don't know if you want a silent PC, if yes, I would set aside ~€100 for third party cooling on the CPU (S775 Scythe Ninja Plus) and VGA (AC Accelero X2)

looks good to me I cannot tell if the RAM is the expensive kind, going with Value Ram from Kingston/Corsair/Geil/OCZ would be better for price performance. The HD is that the one SPCR likes so much?
