New case

I posted yesterday that i was planning to buy a new system

I was planning to buy a normal case with it, but i've come to realise that those chieftec cases look damn sweet !

This is my favourite

What are the advantages / disadvantage of this case ???

think piotke has the same

Concerning the chieftec, don't buy it if you have a huge videocard (ti4600 special edition). It almost touches the hard disks..., with a rounded cable, one that has a little thiker connection, I have like 0.3 mm space left :)

how did you know I have tha tcase ? Do I have a stalker ?

The Senile Doctor 30th November 2003 16:54

a very humble opinion : outdated and too heavy

I was referring to the front of the case, it has a very plastic look , and like Calantak said, the internal are those of a classic , okay, case.

Does it have a removable motherboard panel?

piotke 30th November 2003 16:57

nope, no removable mobo tray

BTW, the superflower I was referring to:

Chieftec are very good cases, old design, but still beats Aopen and 99.99% of the no name cases out there.
It's heavy, bad for luggin around, but that's it. It's thick steel, bad for dremeling, good for stability (I can stand on them and they wouldn't even feel wobbly)

Ive gone for a Lian-Li PC60, light, quite deep and wide. Nice ventilation, overall a good case. No flashy lights or side panels, simply cause I didn't want them.
