Default need suggestion new computer

Hello,

I'm in great need of suggestions to decide between a:

Epox RDA+
Athlon XP 1800+ (B)
Coolermaster XDream

pro: cheap (more left over for extra's), nice overclocking

and

ASUS P4PE
Intel p4 2,46 533 FSB +cooler

pro: inherent power, cool, low noise

performance wise setup (difference is only 100 €).

Usage: gaming (CFS3, C&C generals, BF1942) desktop
Noise level: shared studyroom (family)
OC: no voltmodding

Rest of setup:

Memory:
Apacer 512 bm 333 mhz DRR or twinmoss?

Case: Aopen H600B (350 W)
Hercules Radeon 9700
Mouse: logitec mx500 (no batteries needed)
Audigy 2 retail if P4 (epox has stormsound)
2 Stormsound boxes (stereo)
WD IDE 8Mb 80 gb *2
Floppy,ArticSilverIII,Liteon CDRW 48 or LG combo CDRW/DVD player

taken over from previous pc (P450):
Headphone (Hoshiden BH-001)
17'' CRT monitor
keyboard

Who can help me out?

Thanks in advance

you go ahead and buy the 8rda+ with xp 1800+ nice stepping but equip it with an slk800 or 900 with a decent fan,
the xdream is real noisy if you want it to cool well...

take twinmoss pc3200, two stix

2.46 p4 doesn't exist, it's 2.26 or 2.4 or 2.66

thanks for the hint

after reading richbastard excellent review of the AMD ABIT NF7-S (http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...0&articID=5 6)

I'll switch to this motherboard and take Coolermaster Thermal Compound instead of Artic Silver (better removal)
