IBM Thinkpad T23

Hey all

Just got a cheap IBM Thinkpad T23 on ebay, comes with 1GHZ cpu, 256MB ram and dvd drive.

I'm already expecting to up the ram to a GB but i'm wondering if it's possible to switch out the 1GHZ cpu with something over 1.5? I'll do whatever it takes if possible, extra fans, mod out whatever. I have a line on a couple mobile intel PIII's that will fit the socket one is 1.5 and another is 1.8.

If anyone has any expertease with this let me know.

in general, should be possible, as long as the sockets match, the temp stays in check and most importantly: the power regulator module can handle it.

However, PIII's only scale up to 1Ghz, after that they are tualatin (or the mobile version of it) so your bios probably won't recognise it.
