GTX 275 vs HD 4890 availability

Newegg has both items in stock. However, many more partners are selling 4890s than 275s, and all of the 275 stock appears to be sold out.

Is Nvidia outselling AMD or are there simply more 4890s available.

The 4890 appears to be a great buy.

GTX 275 "hard" launch is for 14th April, so availability is very low at the moment; HD 4890 has already been delivered since last week to all major retail stores , 200.000+ items; it's a good buy on the ATI side, but price/performance I'm holding off for the HD 4770

I heard that ATI had already shipped out 500,000 cards yesterday. Kudos to ATI for the great launch.

Its interesting that they are already undercutting the $250 price point using mail in rebates. Let the price wars commence.

They had to, GTX 275 had better performance that justified the price difference.

From what i have seen the two cards are neck and neck with Nvidia slightly ahead at 2560x1600.

Id really like to get my hands on both of them to come up with my own conclusions,
