| whitch dvdwriter?? I'm planning to buy a dvdwriter to replace my LG dvdrom cdrw combo drive. In the local shop I have the choice between the Aopen DUW1616 (49.5 Euro) or the LG 4163B (55 Euro) Whitch one should I take, the LG or the Aopen? The shop doesn't sell the Nec dvd's otherwise I would get me a Nec, going to another shop for a Nec should be a little silly because a got an 40 Euro voucher for the local job. Please help.

| I have good luck with Benq, Samsung and LG. The BenQ 16X is capable of Double layer which becomes a good feature when double layer DVD disk comes down in price. I only paid $44 for the BenQ in the U.S. I recommend it over Samsung and LG for the low price and performance.

| the shop only has LG, Aopen and Plextor drives but the Plextor costs 120 Euro. That's a little bit to much for my budget.

| don't go nec, they suck. Some ppl in my family have a nec, and they got nothing but trouble with it. They can read/write only a small % of all the media around. With plextor I only got experience with a dvd-reader. But its realy the best reader I've ever had. It reads totaly f*cked up dvd's with no problems, and is super. |
