difference in core 2 L2 caches

Is there going to be a big performance boost in gaming and photoshop between a Core 2 Duo mobile with 1.6GHZ clock that has 2MB L2 cache and a 2GHZ that has 4MB cache?

Setup my dell vostros laptop with 160GB HDD instead of 120GB and 9 cell battery instead of 6cell which put me over my limit to upgrade the CPU to the 4MB cache core 2. Should i cancel my order and get the Core 2 with 4MB cache and downgrade the HDD and battery?

more or less what would be more important the CPU or the HDD and battery? because i can't have both, would put me over my 1 grand limit.

thanks all for the help

~10% difference overall with SAME clock speeds (1.6ghz 2mb vs 4mb). Less noticeable in games, more noticeable in encoding apps
