hmm,
I was meaning if you haven't enabled that option, the display of your tft isn't @ his/her sharpiest setting.
So it will even get better/sharper if it's enabled.

Like you said before conclusion crt sucks in sharpness

I'm using the CRT & LCD in a dual monitor setup, the LCD is my secondy screen

I prefer the smooth CRT look more than the sharp LCD look.

how old is the CRT?

my 17" digiview is going on about 4 years now and its still extremely sharp at 1024x768 85hz

and might it also be possible that the camera's pic got messed up because of the CRT's faster refresh rate?

the digicam has an excellent macro function, if you are looking for a digicam to do reviews with.. Canon Powershot A300, should be around $200 I think.

anywayz, the macro mode basically reveals the difference of techniques used by CRT and LCD, the real difference is noticable, but not as extreme as showed by the zoomed in pics/
