Default computer stupidities

ever withnessed something utterly stupid?, post it here

I'll start

Today, a dude came in with a pc (I work in a PC-shop) and said
"He fell off my desk and now he won't boot anymore"

I was like :wtf: and replied "he fell off your desk?"

HIM: "yeah, I pushed it over, I already had a look at it myself, but the only thing I found was that something had broken off, but I managed to glue it back in place"

ME: ???, I opened the cover and had a peek inside, it turned out that the cpu-cooler was no longer on the socket, but hang under the PSU, apparently there was some sticky thermalpaste-like-stuff on the cooler and the guy just "glued" the thing where he found an empty spot

I remember a certain friend of mine bought a bunch of coputer hardware and wanted to assemble everything and get it running. So, he put everything together and plugged it in but the machine would do nothing but show a blank screen. Not even the fans would spin. So, he goes and dissasembles it, reassembles it, and tries again... same problem. So, I came over and had a look... it turns out that he never bothered flipping the switch on his PSU from 0 to 1 and I was like :wtf:

Yeah not to funny

a friend of mine works on a helpdesk for IT assistance in a company .

they get a call from a guy who claims his "pedal" is broken

they go have a look and they see him sitting with his foot on his mouse .

Looks like he worked there for a week or so and when he arrived the mouse was on the ground .
So he thought it was meant like this and worked several days with his feet !!
