Choice of digital camera?
 

I am considering buying a new digital camera, primarily to take close-up pics of various products (computer related), but of course also for everyday use. The quality (especially with closeup pics) has to be very good (this is very important, more so than the number of mpixels), and my price limit would probably be around $450, give or take a bit. I would prefer if it was a "proper" one made by a well-known brand, but all suggestions are most welcome :)

I bought a CANON A300 for my parents; totalled at €300 (with 128mb memory card)

it has a great macro mode and 3Mpixels

the a300 doesn't have any zoom capabilties

It's better you chose the a60-70-80

then the price will go up of course :)
for a none-zoom cam I find the A300 deliveres high quality pics :)
