CF-2029 Black Plexi Medium Tower

CF-2029 Black Plexi Medium Tower

Just got this case for my XP2200+ noisemaker, cause I was running out place to put things

bought this fine looking Metal! (heavy) case.

the pics:

Pro:
- extreme nice finishing on the exterior of the case, the black is really very shiny and smooth
- thumbscrews
- 80mm casefan
- prefab holes for 120mm fan at the front + 2nd 80mm in the back
- 300Watt PSU
- good accessible CDrom drivebays + lots of room for hard disks
- blue ON light
- Sound / USB / Firewire connections @ the front of the case

Contra:
- no removable motherboard tray
- pretty heavy
- airflow with 1 casefan = pretty lousy

Before I installed the system , I had it laying on top of the motherboard's box, no fans expect the CPU fan spinning near it:

XP2200+@2010Mhz - 1.85v
CPU load temp: 41°C

I then installed it in the case
CPU load temp: 49°C

With the sidepanel removed
CPU load temp: 41°C

To have the sidepanel closed & still retain good temps I'll have to cut out a blowhole:
- in the sidepanel at the height of the CPU
- cut out 120mm blowhole in the front

for now It's running open and wide
cause the PC crashed as soon as the CPU temp passes 49.5°C

I hope those two bottles of wine came with the case, otherwise it's not worth your money.

Not my kind of taste, but looks pretty sturdy and has lot's of room for fans & drives.

6 HD's + 4 CDROM drives in a midi case = awesome

but looks don't matter over here, performance does

upping the vcore, max @ 1.92v

looks pretty cool (figuratively only)

like another remake of the ttgi/superflower case

but it does look like its got a lot of potential to go on, even if a bit pricey for a steel case
